Exploring with the new camera:
Click here to see it big.
The white building is Atlanta's Richard B. Russell Federal Building. I prefer the mural.
Civic minded in the Capital View neighborhood, slightly censored by the Architecture Tourist:
Dappled reflection on the Hurt Building through the Chick-fil-A Scholarship Arch behind the Flat Iron Building - actually the English - American Building.
I used to work here, makes you proud
While I'm testing the zoom on high cornices, how about this lion guy on the Candler Building:
In context:
The old Salvation Army building on Ellis Street
This bit looks a bit modern
Thanks,
Terry

I love that mural. How cute would that be as art in a kid's room or playroom. -c
ReplyDeleteAs someone who occasionally spends a Sunday morning cleaning up my neighborhood, I love the Capitol View sign. I hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteNice zoom on the new camera.
New camera???? What kind? Looks like you and the new camera make a good team!
ReplyDeleteWow - beautiful architectural photos, Terry! Love the Candler building detail.
ReplyDeleteI just posted my favorites from 2010, and one of your posts is on my list! Best wishes for a wonderful 2010!
Gorgeous architectural details! And y ay for the new camera!! Is the Ellis hotel near there? That's one area I just don't know much about...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Looks like nice weather, too.
ReplyDeleteHey, I work in the Hurt Building. If you are in it, stop by the 16th floor, which is entirely gutted. Building occupants have been invited to go for walks there but I like to go to see the completely-open (and more historically accurate) floorplan. And it has great views of downtown and the buildings around.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever sell your art?
