You see parapeted gables in pockets of Spanish eclectic homes in older Atlanta neighborhoods. You see them in refurbished post modern strip shopping centers. It's a nice shape.
But these "Cape Dutch" style homes are so rare here. I only know of 2. The 2 different gable designs and steep roof, take my breath away. We need more of these.
Looking at the east facade. Notice the overhand with brackets on the south faced, an Italianate detail. Hey, it's an eclectic.
The north gable and the 8 over 1 windows.
The north gable's gentle S-curve and the backside of the west gable.
Architecture tourists need a drive-by before the trees green up.
Like to see the other one? "Dutch gables, Cape Dutch architecture in Atlanta?"
