This little house is gone now. They are building a new one. At At 1037 feet above sea level I believe this is the highest new house in Atlanta. And only a handful of Atlanta houses, old or new are higher.
It's going to be a remarkable house. Though not yet complete, it's already on the market and I will blog it.
For now I'll give you a hint from the rooftop deck on a very hazy summer day.
The highest new house in Atlanta is on a ridge-top, poking its roof into Atlanta's famous green canopy. You can see an intervening ridge here. The distant buildings sit on a 3rd prominent Atlanta ridgeline.
Here are some approximate hints thanks to Google Earth.

Ooh ooh, I know! They're my next-street-over neighbor. Amazing looking house. Probably just barely higher than my next door neighbor's rooftop deck in the trees though. You want some unique architecture, check out the treehouse at Amsterdam & N Highland. A 35-year work in progress, all by hand. Essentially an art project, pretty wild.

Oh, don't tell. I've given up on seeing the "tree-house" completed but what a view it must have. The alley behind it is about 1010.
