I'm participating in Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch. Thanks to Susan! This used to be a telephone factory and it was built to last. Now it's an art, design, and coolness factory. Once a year we get a look inside. Design fans, you'll want to see the a few pictures of a French style collection in the postscript.
Fun art...
In this beautiful industrial building:
In lofts like this:
I did the Telephone Factory Art Show on Sunday. (I did the Fulton Cotton and Bag Mill tour on Saturday). Mark your calendar for next year: First weekend in December, great loft buildings, great lofts, great art, great people, great time.

Terry,
ReplyDeleteYou do get around, and you love art, and you are so on the ball.
Lots of new artist names in this post! It is always nice to see the faces behind the great art in our city.
ReplyDeleteTerry-How neat that this factory has a new life! This looks as if it could take some time to really "see" everything! What a great showcase for the artists. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting, Terry! I have never been to the Telephone Factory...I will need to check it out. And I loved the frenchy post script..especially the tea cup collage...wonderful! I would have to study each tea cup! lol Happy week!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteSo often blogs post photos of the art but not the artists. So great to see them as well. Very interesting post. Loft lover here! -- Jane F.
ReplyDeleteI started to tell you my favorites, but that seems silly when I rename over half of the artists you just mentioned! So I''l keep it at this-I found Jennifer Henley's work extremely interesting as well as attractive. I liked her merge of found object and paint. I also felt moved by the large blue paintings by Mathew Mayes. So much texture and impact. Oh and of course I am a sucker for Poindexter's work, architecture photographed in such away that it becomes graphic. What else can I say! I also love that you captured the parts of Caryn's place that I left out-those images are so strong with the bold gratifies and next to to the fragile teacups and crystal. Caryn's pretty awesome, huh!
ReplyDeleteWOW...what a super space to work in! Love all the natural light!!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous show with SOooooo many pieces. Hard to look at everything. Nice that each artist was allowed so many pieces in the show.
Thanks, as always, Terry! Love the constant introduction to new artists I get from you!
