Castelberry Hill Art Stroll - November 13, 2009
Above: detail from Kathleen Wilke's "Lady Of The Lake" at Krause Gallery. Click on any picture to enlarge. Here is the whole thing.
Architecture Tourists, Elizabeth, David, Katherine and I enjoyed the Atlanta weather and Castleberry Hill's art last Friday. Here we are out back of Besharat Gallery.
We didn't need to get dressed up. (Roman Zaslonov at Besharat)
We had live plaster casting at the brand new ZuCot Gallery. Here is Amanda Brown of Body Part Art applying the plaster.
And completed butt castes at Niche Gallery.
Will Hooper is a fellow stroller, he's everywhere. It was great see some of his work at Raw Space Gallery. Will is on the right
We met Cedric McNeal.
And Kim Wolfe (on the right)
Corrina Sephora Mensoff does architectural metal work, metal sculptures, quilts and a lot more, I'll bet.
Craig Dongoski (left) is showing at Gallery Stokes. Mr. Dongoski is assistant professor at Georgia State University.
Here is Fabian Williams' "Material Girl" a knockout.
We got a little rest at Krause-Gallery on their cool rockers.
I loved these guys by Helen Durant at Krause Gallery.
Don't miss the hallway beside Krause...
..because you might find work by the "Mad Man " himself.
Don't miss Peters Street Framers next to Besharat.
And while you are at Besharat, go outside and see their beautiful building...
Where you might find this Laure Krug sculpture.
Whew, I'm tired and there are many more pictures to see. Here they are:
Thanks,
Terry
Interesting, Helen Durant is so well known for her goat paintings. She used to be at Faye Gold, then Faye decided to go just virtual, which I am sure impacted sales for some artists.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen your son on one of these strolls!
Son and I did another stroll today at the Mattress Factory, wow wee woow, pictures to come. One artist's studio could have held our whole house, twice.
ReplyDeleteHi, Terry, great pics here in this post and the two prior. I've been AWOL - so had some catching up to do. (Love the green shutters most especially love that the back portion of the house was painted in the same like manner.) You must love it - I do! Again, great art pics.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I have never been, but you have inspired me! I love the work by Helen Durant and Fabian Williams! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThis is all so cool. Love the lighting in the first pic!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my blog! Your comment made me LOL.
ReplyDeleteYep. That's me. I know what you mean. Designer events have been like that every since I started going to them. Everyone gets in their "comfort groups" and doesn't ever venture out to meet anyone else. I'm guilty of it as well but I try really hard not to be. We should try to get an Atlanta Blogger event together so we can all meet.
